Getting started with trading

Hey everyone, so I have been wanting to get into the stock trading game for a while now, I reside in South Africa, and we have a company here called Easy Equities, that ran a large marketing campaign on radio and introduced a ton of people into the world of stock trading, me being one of them to be honest.
Currently I have some cash I am investing with Easy Equities, most of which I am investing the US stock exchange, in particular tech companies (as I am in the tech field myself).
The reason for my post is that I have been doing more research and come upon this app IQ option, which is a more real time stock trading app, is this the app that most of the stock traders are using at the moment, or do you guys have any other suggestions of apps to use.
The main trouble I have at the moment using Easy Equities is having to convert my ZAR to USD, and forex commisions and such, I see with IQ option you can just add cash with a credit card.
Any input and advise would be appreciated :)

How difficult is it to make 0.3% a day?

I have a target of gaining 0.3% a day (five days a week) trading Forex. How difficult would it be to achieve this target by scalping? For my broker, I will be using [XTB](www.xtb.com) and will mainly trade the EUUSD currency pair, which on the standard account has a spread of (around) 0.7 pips with no commision.
With these conditions how difficult would it be to scalp 0.3% every day?

Commisions and fees

Hello there.
I recently started daytrading and moved from a DEMO acc. to a real acc. just to try the difference. Started with a small amount of 100 USD.
I tried trading Forex, the popular EUUSD, went long and took a short loss afterwards. Now I see that in the trade details, I paid a 3 USD commision fee?
Can someone explain to me why I both have the spread and a 3 USD fee, when making one small trade?
Did I just choose the wrong broker?
Kind Regards

I can't really understand the risk

I'm not a forex trader atm, but I'm trying to understand the system so I can be a trader soon. The one problem I have is understanding the risk. I hope you can help me.
Let's say I give 1000$ as deposit and I'll have 1:400 leverage. I'll take short or long position, and if it went the way I want, let's say for 1% change, I'll earn 400% of my money. So I'll have 41000$. If it goes the opposite way, I'll lose 1000$.
Now I know that it will go both way in short terms, so it is more likely that I'll lose. But what if I only play when there's a big political or economical issue happens. Can't I understand the way it'll go?
Or will I lose instantly because of the commision + buy/sell price difference?
What am I missing here?
Edit: What I was thinking is 10% change and earning 4000% of the main money. Then just before posting I decided not to exagerate, so I wrote 1% but I didn't change 41000$ lol. Sorry for miscalculation. Please answer ignoring it.

Coinmetro Exchange will set the new bar for trading- away with BTC deciding our values!

I'd like to share some words about coinmetro. I've seen alot of ico's but this is the first one im investing in.
I'd like to start of with saying that i hate that in the crypto currency world, bitcoin is the rules of all coins. If bitcoin goes down, all alts go down. Why? Because every alt is traded with bitcoin only- It's value depends on bitcoin. This is wrong, as every coin should have its own value. Coinmetro is here to change this behavior, and i think it will set a example for other exchanges to follow.
Top reasons why coinmetro will succeed:
  1. They will trade all coins versus FIAT. No btc- no tether- FIAT. So no need to use a shady tether coin anymore, for the same price. 0,1% trade commision and youre all back to dollars or euro's.
  2. Because of this, coins will stand alone alot stronger, instead of being dependant on bitcoin's value. Currently, only bitcoin's value really makes the market.
  3. TAM managers. You know all of the bloggers, discord and telegrams etc who claim to be good traders? Now you can invest into those traders, literary. Then you make profit when they make profit, and lose money when they lose money. This feature is planned to roll out later though.
  4. Fiat withdrawals and deposits to credit cards and SEPA transfers, without applying fees themselfs. Only what the bank or CC company charges them.
  5. Debit card. (Although have my doubts about this one, since alot other companys fail here)
  6. Their own coin will ONLY be available through their own exchange. So again, no other platform will be trading their XCM against BTC. So if btc tanks like a rock, XCM will still hold its value.
  7. A token buyback program with 20% of net profits per quarter, of both coinmetro and their successfull FXpig forex trading platform.
  8. Proven to be a good company- they developed fxpig, wich is quite high rated when looking it up.
  9. Every transaction you do on coinmetro will buy 0,1% of the market price of XCM and give most to coinmetro for profit, and burn a small percentage of that.
  10. A permanent trading discount of 25% if you invest the minimum amount in their ICO.
  11. The more XCM you own, the more discount you get. This makes big players want to have a good stash of coins.
  12. More advanced trading options then most exchanges out there.
  13. Their ICO goes slow. Alot and ALOT of burned tokens are coming.
  14. US citizens cannot participate in the ICO, but will be able to register and use the exchange after the ICO. This means alot of potential buyers.
  15. 2.5% extra bonus tokens if you use a referal link. Find one or ask (me) one. Note: Only on your first purchase, and the person giving the link received 5% bonus tokens.
Personally im really hyped about their fiat options. I dont need to use tether anymore, or to sell tether into litecoin and sell that for euro or dollar.
I hated using bitpanda wich charges ridiculous fees for selling to euro. But with all the story's about tether, i really disliked that as well.
But that's enough about coinmetro! Always do your own research and have fun crypto'ing!

Choosing the right broker

Hello!
I am ready to dive in the world of trading and after my basic education I am starting to pappertrade. I figured out that I sould choose from now the boroker I am gonna use in the future to get used to the platform. The problem is that there are WAY to many brokers out there and its hard to choose. I need your help reddit!

What I need:
- I am mainly gonna daytrade forex, maybe some stocks and futures at the future.
- Low commisions, fees & spreads! I'm thikning of taking trades on small timeframes (5-20 mins , or a few hours). I am looking for a true ECN with comission model. I dont want conflict of interests with my broker
- A good platform. I don't like MT4. I liked cTrader.
- No requotes - No slippage - Fast executions!
- Leverage. I need at least 1:200 , so I probably need a broker in Australia (?)
- No problems with withdrawals.
- Regulation and good reputation! I don't want to loose my money!
- Low minimum deposit! I'm thinking about starting with 1000 euros, maybe 2000 max.

Brokers I have found surfing the net:
- Interactive Brokers
- Saxo bank
- IG
- Dukascopy
and the cTrader brokers:
- IC markets
- Pepperstone
- FxPro
- Roboforex

What do you guys think? Have you got any experience with those guys? What would you suggest? All comments and extra info are welcome!

Reliable brokers?

Hey guys! How are you?
I would like to know your opinion on where should I open my first big live account. I have been trading forex for an year profitably on a smaller account with Pepperstone, but I would really like to find a safer broker if I want to put more money. I have been either considering opening an account with a broker like dukascopy (thoughts/other broker recommendations?) or starting to trade futures altogether (also recommendations on good brokers?). I trade EURUSD mainly technical scalping. Peppers low commision works really good for this.
What do you think?

[uncensored-r/CryptoCurrency] Genesis Vision and why this is one of the most promising projects of 2018 that no one is talking ...

The following post by IAmThe_ParTY is being replicated because some comments within the post(but not the post itself) have been openly removed.
The original post can be found(in censored form) at this link:

The original post's content was as follows:
Genesis Vision, the platform with a spectacular team and advisory board, low coin supply, entering a market valued over 70 trillion dollars adding full transparency for investors!
Current price: $ 21.14 USD Market cap: $ 78 million USD Circulating supply: 3.7 million GVT Total supply: 4.4 million GVT
Exchanges:
Binance Kucoin HitBTC Ether delta
More being added soon
Basic information (1) Genesis Vision is going after an industry that has never been transparent; asset/trust management. Traditional trust management systems are a black box to potential investors. In any event, investors transfer money to a financial manager and then wait to receive profits. They receive a statistic on the use of their assets and the financial manager's performance, but investors have essentially no way to verify this information. Too often, the real situation is understood when the money can no longer be returned. A large number of fraudulent conducts in the trust management market was detected in recent years.
(2) The natural reaction for this situation was tightening the regulations in this sphere. This leads to serious limitations on the potential of market participants and lack of usability. However the global asset market is growing, the amount of funds in management was more than 71 trillion dollars in 2015.
(3) Genesis Vision is a platform (GVP) for the private trust management market, built on blockchain technology and smart contracts. It unites exchanges, brokers, traders, and investors into a decentralized network, making the financial market more global and transparent. They believe that implementation of blockchain will allow the trust management market to achieve transparency and efficiency on the technological level.
In the trust management there are three participants in the market:
  • The Investor, transfers funds to experienced traders who manage their funds.
  • The Manager, a trader or company who trades for investors. They receive a commision from the profit.
  • The Brokers, companies that have the appropriate licenses to carry out brokerage activities. Through brokers, traders have access to trading financial instruments on exchange and over-the-counter markets.
The GVP works as follows; Each manager in the Genesis Vision network has his own cryptocurrency. The process of transferring funds to the manager is carried out by buying a manager's cryptocurrency on the internal exchange. From the manager’s point of view, the trade process will not change. The trader will continue to operate on the exchange or through a broker. Genesis Vision, in turn, represents a common open source of reliable information about the statistics of the network participants' activities and a transparent system of investment and profit distribution, built on smart contracts.
Some advantages for Investors: Investors have access to managers from all over the world; Profit distribution is completely transparent and open; There is better availability of investment portfolios(high-risk, low-risk, etc.); All managers have a real trading history that cannot be faked.
Some advantages for managers: Attract investors from any country; Transparency and fairness of report construction guarantees fair competition between all managers; There is increased investor confidence; Opportunities for promoting your own trading strategy to attract more investors; Managers issue their own branded cryptocurrency.
Some advantages for brokers: Brokers have an opportunity to attract investors from all over the world; Brokers have the right to do any marketing; The system does not require any information about the broker's client base.
Use of Genesis Vision Token (GVT) GVT is a currency of the Genesis Vision Platform and will be used for all investment operations and profit distributions. The platform is the place where investors can purchase and sell managers’ coins. Managers have a limited amount of coins, which depends on their level. Initially, these coins can only be purchased directly from the manager for a fixed price. Afterwards, they can be freely traded among the investors on the internal exchange. In this case, investors determine the price based on supply and demand.
The cost of these coins will depend on the success of a manager’s trading because the manager’s profitable trading makes his/her coins "profitable." So investors want to get a higher price for the coin. This method has several advantages over the traditional scheme of transferring money to a manager’s account: The manager's coin itself is an asset; At any time, the investor can transfesell this cryptocurrency on the internal exchange; The user buys “tangible” coins and can be cashed at any time. When investors purchase coins, GVTs are transferred to a broker's account, where they are converted to required currency and transferred to a manager's trading account. Coin holders receive part of the manager's profits, according to their share, minus the manager's commission and fee. The GVT will be used for all investment operations, profit distributions, and managers’ token trading on the internal exchange.
Token distribution 40%: Development, Support; 30%: Marketing; 15%: Integration, servers, connectivity, auditing; 10%: Legal 5%: Other.
Connecting a Broker The owner of the trading platform needs to install the Genesis Vision software, which is free and distributed with an open license.

MT4 brokers?

Hi all, new to Forex.
I have $500 I want to learn with. I already have a demo account with TradeKings. I started with their shitty Java platform but have since liquidated that account, moved to MT4. I love the platform but TradeKing's customer service is absolutely appalling so I want to move brokers.
Any ideas on a broker that will take
I was paying at a minimum .30c round trip on my trades at TradeKing forex. With only $500 to start that's taking health chunks out of my trading, especially when I have to set my stops @ 50 pips and it may not make for a decent trade.
Any questions?
